[Softdevice-devel] Image scaling vs. visible resolution

Loosely related to aspect ratio handling.

On a 352x288 stream, scaled to full 800x600 DirectFB screen, the stream
pixels appear clearly.
With other decoders, like vdr-xine / hardware decoding, the image is
smoothed, as if it really were 800x600.
That's clearly visible on very small letters (5 pixel) : with
softdevice, they're awful, with vdr-xine, they're really nice.

The test channel : Météo
Express;OpenMux:10911:vC34:S13.0E:27500:5820:5830:0:0:5800:176:12000:0

My explanation : softdevice does scaling after decompression, whereas
xine does scaling before decompression (one step or another in the
decompression process).

Not that this channel is important to me, but every improvement in image
quality is a good thing (particularly if it's easy to implement).
